Several years ago someone gave me this wooden box. I wanted it, but didn't quite know what to do with it. I've been storing stuff that doesn't have a home in it for years - extra phone cords, batteries, instructions to appliances - things to forget about until you need them and can't find them.
The box has been sitting on the shelf above my desk for years, essentially unused. I noticed it the other day and knew it would be a good storage space for my new postcard collection. Yippee!
The metal thingy inside slides like an old library card catalog. Remember the card catalogs? Weren't they great?
I don't know what this box was originally used for.
Here is the box with my first (and so far, only) postcard in my collection. Once I fill the box, I figure my obsession with receiving postcards will be over.
Model in photos: My nice cat Daisy. (I also have a naughty cat, and she was up to no good, I'm sure, while I took these photos.)
